Community Internet Service

We have had some express interest in pursuing the option of installing community internet service so we could get a discounted group rate. There would obviously be an installation fee up front we would have to budget for, which would likely result in a temporary increase of HOA to build up savings to pay for installation, and a permanent increase to cover the cost of community internet service, which obviously we would only do if the individual homeowner internet savings would make up for it.

We'd love input from you as members of the community to know if this is something there is interest for and worth pursuing further. Let us know what you think!

Question...what type of internet are we looking at? the only way it would be worth it for us to switch to community is if it was similar if not better as far as speed goes...my husband works out of his home at times and needs very fast internet. Please let us know... tonyarbush@gmail.com

good question. we are aware that for those who do work out of home there are speed requirements, and no one wants a slow internet connection. we'd definitely look for something compatible to what most people have now in terms of high speed internet. this is something that would certainly take time, but we just want to know if there is enough interest to be worth looking into or if people have contracts that they wouldn't be able to break without penalty, etc.
